Mobile TV services in India

MTNL has recently launched a new mobile TV service that will be available along with its already existing service. We compare this new offer with others in the industry.

State-run MTNL, which provides mobile services in Delhi and Mumbai, has launched a MobileTV service in partnership with DigiVive. The service, called NexGTv, offers over 50 live channels ranging from entertainment, reality, news, religious to popular regional channels.

"The new service will also offer video-on-demand content, including clips from mythological TV shows like Mahabharat; and Hindi movies in 15 minute capsule form, or mobisodes. This service is available for both 2G as well as 3G users with compatible handsets," DigiVive said in a press statement.

The service is available at a monthly subscription of Rs 99; weekly for Rs 35; and per day for Rs 8 for all the channels, with no additional data charges.

Reliance India Mobile Launches STV 54, All Local at 1paisa/2Sec

Its time to retain old customer. At least it seems that Reliance Mobile (RGSM) learns it well after MNP implementation. 

Reliance GSM Introduces a Special Tariff Voucher(STV) of Rs. 54 for its prepaid customers of Kolkata and West Bengal circle for cheapest off On-Net and Off-Net local callings. They have also introduced a FRC of same benefits for new customers.

The MRP of the STV is Rs. 54 which will let a customer to enjoy local call rate as low as 1p/2Sec for a period of 90 days. For new customer they brought FRC of Rs. 51 which will also provide same facility for 90 days from the date of activation.

Reliance Communications has  today launched ‘Mobile Banking Services’, its new VAS service in association with SBI. With this, Reliance GSM mobile users can use banking facilities like balance inquiry, mini statement, fund transfer, cheque book issuance, mobile recharge and bill payment at any time and place through  the use of their cell phones.

Reliance Mobile Has Reintroduced Its Reliance First Offer

Reliance Mobile has reintroduced its unique customer engagement program called ‘Reliance First’ in Karnataka circle. It is a platform for the company to engage its customers directly and create an opportunity to listen about their needs and expectations which will help them to enhance customer experience with different services from the company.Reliance customers can also use this opportunity to pay their bills, recharge their account, submit their customer application form and in addition, get their CDMA handsets upgraded, serviced etc and discuss any other customer service issues. Generally we have seen similar kind of activity from Telecom PSU BSNL which conducts  ’Telephone Adalats’  on a regular basis for redressal of customers’ complaints but private players hardly engage customers with this kind of forum.

As part of Reliance First, an initiative that was started last year, the Reliance Communications team will be meeting its customers under one roof in Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore and Hubli. It will act as a perfect platform for receiving feedback or understanding the needs of customers and thus enable RCOM to provide unique & innovative services.

DIRECT CHAT WITH INDIAN CELEBRITIES BY MOBILE WITH RELIANCE STAR TALK SERVICE

Reliance Communications has launched a new value added service ‘Star Talk’ which will allow its customers to interact with their favourite stars on mobile. It is a voice based platform where customers will get an opportunity to engage with Indian celebrities  on mobile . Reliance Mobile has roped in host of Indian celebrities like Anil Kapoor, Hritik Roshan, Emran Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut , Harbhajan Singh, Madan Lal, V.V.S Laxman, Minisha Lamba, Manoj Tiwari, Shweta TiwariKumar Sanu, Kajal Agarwal, Yana Gupta among others for offering this service.

The service will allow a select group of callers at a time to connect with the celebrity for a live conversation. Every caller will be prompted in advance and given equal time to interact with their favorite star through the IVR. The celebrity will have an option of managing the call by extending the time or move to next customer.

RCOM to deliver Video updates & replays of ICC world cup on Mobile

Reliance Communications has entered into exclusive partnership with TELibrahma, to deliver video updates and replays from the ICC World Cup cricket matches for all cricket lovers. With this now the customers watching matches in Stadium would be able to watch video highlights.

TELiBrahma would deploy BluFi in stadiums and enable consumers to receive video highlights.With the World Cup being played in different countries, this becomes the world’s first and biggest in-stadia deployment.

Giving Few steps for those who cant subscribe In all this steps u have to keep an eye on ur status page, bcoz u will get no confirmation SMS.

1. Deactivate all ur pack, It is assumed that u r also deactivated from 99 Rs. Plan, if not then dont deactivate it in this step. 

2. Activate ur Default plan by wap site. Dont use Internet now otherwise it will charge you. 

3. Open your status page. You will get ur default plan status . 

4. Now deactivate ur 99 Rs. Plan by calling 155223. 

5. Now continously keep checking status page. After few time it will say no plan Subscribed. 

6. Now subscribe the plan again through *123*...You should get that ur request for 99 Rs..... if u r not getting this screen then try it again. 

7. Now again keep on refreshing and checking status page. In mean time u can also check ur balance by *367 and u can also keep on trying to subscribe fot the plan.

8. After few mins probably 15-30 min (depends on ur area network) u will see that ur status page is showing plan 13 with start and end dates.Check ur balance also. And now u r subscribed again.
