Mobile Number Portability: Operators starts targeting customers of rival services

Tata DOCOMO might have have started their campaign to lure customers of rival services to migrate to them as soon as MNP launches in the Indian market.

Mobile number portability has technically launched already if we are to believe the government sources. Customers would be able to submit their applications from later this month.

It is great news for the newer mobile service providers in the country who can now target customers of older players like Airtel and Vodafone with new exciting packages.

MNP allows a mobile user to switch his service provider while retaining his mobile number. Exciting times are ahead for the telecom customers in India.
